PAY

Around £70 per morning. If you wish to work afternoons, variable and open to discussing but it would be good you can survive on the mornings to start with.

Ad HOC Part Time Assistants

When we need extra assists on top of our main team you give your availability the week before via a whats app Poll we send to you the assists group. We then let you know what we have for you by Sunday night for the following week. People who have been with us longer as well as who reply the quickest tend to get first refusal but as its part time work the tends to be a high turnover so it may not be too long before you could be a first choice.

You can get yourself to the park or jump in the van along the route. You are not paid for your travel time so typically you would want to try and get in at the last moment and live not too far away.

Most assisting with a main team member takes place 8.30am-1.30pm, Monday to Friday but there is PM work occasionally too. If you do well assisting you may get to progress on to being a main assist who does 121 walks on your own after the morning assists as well and for the right person this can end up being a full time job. This will then involve higher rates, background checks and referencing etc.

If you want to work your way up to a trainer but do not already have experience assisting is a great place to start and you may also volunteer to shadow other work that interests you.

Our full timers will see the work available first,  so you may have a slow start but then find yourself being offered lots and if you keep being the person who says yes and does well then you will get offered it first.

Please note timing and reliability is vital. If you are late, dogs will be left inside too long. If you cancel at the last minute we may have to cancel the dogs so we don't have too many, meaning their owners may find they cannot go to work.

If you are interested please email us and include your phone number. We will then arrange a short facetime video call with you. If we think you have potential we will add you to the group for bookings. Having done a walk or two the trainers will then decide if to keep you in the group.

Part time assistants are paid:

£14.50 for a 1hr group walk assisting a main team member.

£27 for a 2hr group walk assisting a main team member.

Pay is by monthly invoice to a UK bank account.
